About these Exhibits
The exhibits on this page were researched and designed by students in "Creating Digital Archives," a seven-week course in which students identified and researched topics about the history of Beloit College using materials from the College Archives.
They then learned how to organize, annotate, and display the images they found to create thematic web-based exhibits that are intended to edify viewers about aspect of the College's history. Topics range chronologically from the Civil War to the Civil Rights era, and the student research included anthropological expeditions, the the early days of coeducation, the Black Demands of the nineteen-sixties.
